Good walk and you missed it!!
Edi getting ready!Great Nature...Full Dam!The young walkersGot to the hut just in time to stay dry!Mario, our PhotographerThe final meters out of the bush...A well deserved rest after 6 hours!

Every once in a while we need to go back to basics and do an easy hike to give more walkers, families and children the opportunity to get involved and enjoy our great outdoors.
This Sunday walk will be just that. A leisurely hike along some flat forestry roads and over a few undulating hills will introduce you to the Lake Manchester area in the south western corner of the Brisbane Forest Park. The round trip on the lake is approximately 18 easy km’s and we estimate it will take about 5 1/2 hours plus a lunch stop on the way.

Meeting at: 9:30 am Sunday, 14 March at the Picnic-area,
Lake Manchester dam reserve, below Spillway.
Grading: L-2-3
Enquiries: Diane and Fredi Vogel, Ph: 07 3289 1183
Bookings: fredi@swiss.org.au
Get there: UBD map 172, R-1 top right corner and map 173 A-1.
Follow Mt Crosby Road to Karana-Downs, turn right into
Lake Manchester Road and follow it to the picnic reserve
near the dam wall.
Allow approx. 45 min from Brisbane CBD.
