![]() Brisbane. To get there, travel through Samford and Dayboro then follow signs to Mt Mee. Turn into Sellins Rd to get to Mt Mee forest station. Our ‘exploratory’ walks for the day may include a medium to difficult descent on a creek, past several waterfalls and gorges to the base of Mount Byron. Dianas bath is ideal for our lunch break and a swim. We then need to climb the western ridges, back up to the top of Mt Byron. From there we return along forestry roads to our cars. This walk is intended for experienced hikers. I estimate it to take a minimum six to seven hours! But it could well take considerable more time, pending on the group and encountered difficulties. Some of our longtime members will recall a similar excursion in this area, where we finally got back to our cars in the pitch dark. And I checked - there is no Moon on the 11th of April! Final routes will be chosen on the day, pending on weather and hiking group. Go directly to Mt.Mee. Fredi & Diane are coming from the Sunshine Coast |
