Visit a real blacksmith, see hear and smell those steam engines at work, or simply enjoy the restored buildings and lively atmosphere before joining us for the Swiss National Day function at noon. North Pine Country Park is a unique heritage village set on grounds selected in 1868 by the English migrant James Foreman. The Swiss National Day is our big event - join members & friends from the Goald Coast, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, greater Queensland and catch up with them at least once a year. Directions: North Pine Country Park, Dayboro Road, Kurwongbah, Pine Rivers 26km from Brisbane CBD 2.5km along Dayboro Road from Petrie roundabout and then watch out for Swiss flags ![]() This is always a great day for everyone, with activities planned for adults and children alike. As in previous years, the 4EB Radio-Van will be present to guide us all through the program of the day. We hope everyone can join in the celebration of Switzerland’s National Day! If you are interested we would like to offer you the opportunity to have a space to showcase what you are doing at the 1st of August. We normally have between 500 - 700 people who come along on the day, so you would get pretty good exposure. Sumptous cakes from Oli Spohr, tasty cheese from Maleny Cheese, a wonderful bonfire thanks to Max – it gets better every year. Entertainment from the Yodel-Choir and Gabriel with the 4EB-Van filled the afternoon. Lots of helpers on both sides of the scenes made the day a great success. Thank you all for coming.
