Dear Friends of the Choir, This year is happily bouncing along, with the choir doing the same thing. With only a couple of performances outside the regular events so far this year, the choir is a little under challenged and we feel like a punch of circus monkeys, who haven’t been able to show off there tricks for a while. This does not deter us from having very serious practising sessions, where Mark is putting a lot of effort into the training of all the members in the choir. The singing seems to get better with every practising session and we are all quit confident in playing different instruments in a variety of music pieces. We all did enjoy the first of August, even thou it was a very hectic event with all the work we had to do and we would like to thank all the helpers who made the Apfelchuechli they sold like hot Apfelchuechli ( cakes ) Another performance, where we show cased some traditional Swiss stuff, was for an old age picnic in Musgrave Park. The elderly audience was very enthusiastic and joint in with clapping and the Zugabe, where members of the public join in to try their hands on the many different instruments, was a lot of fun for everyone. So come along to one of our rehearsals or performance and see for yourself if that is the kind of activity you would enjoy.
