Enjoy another evening of 9-pin bowling, together with a chat, fun, laughter and a lovely supper.
The fabulous Fondue Evening with the yummy, melted cheese fondue as well as cervelas and a huge selection of salads will be served from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. This truly is a delicious meal, which is followed by raffles and entertainment. A wonderful social evening with many families in attendance. Please remember to book for this function to assist with catering. We look forward to seeing you there!!
The Swiss Society Sports Competitions consist of kegeln, smallbore shooting, shot put and jassen, with the top 20% of participants in each discipline receiving a beautiful certificate and prize. All juniors under 16 years of age compete in a separate competition, so come along parents / grandparents bring your children / grandchildren along to participate in these “Swiss” sports. Friendly rivalry, plenty of banter and a great social time assured. Please bring your own lunch and drinks to enjoy between the sports events.
The Swiss Society AGM and Cowbell Competition will be held over King’s Birthday Weekend. A social evening will be held on Saturday 30th of May with bookings to club secretaries for catering purposes. On Sunday 31st of May the Swiss Society Cowbell Competition will be held from 10.00am, with kegeln, shot put and jassen to be contested (the shooting results from the Swiss Society Competitions will be used for this). Lunch will be provided by the Taranaki Swiss Club, then the AGM will be held at 2.00pm. A catered dinner will be held at 6.00pm, with raffles and music the entertainment for the evening. This weekend is always a great social event, mixing and mingling with members from the various Swiss clubs / groups. Please book in with the Heblers or Marianne by the 21st of May.
Jassen starts at 1.00pm. It would be great to see some new faces, although we do appreciate the regulars that come along!!
The Championship Shoot will be held today … come along and give this handicap shoot a go … coaching can be provided … enjoy this typical “Swiss” sport!!

The Anniversary Shoot is a great, social event with many families attending. Shooting participation is from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, with the kegeln starting at 1.00pm and finishing at 5.00pm. All participants will receive a small prize of cervelas. At 5.30pm the delicious dinner of Sauerkraut, Margie’s yummy pickled red cabbage, potatoes, peas, pork and continental frankfurters are on the menu. There really is something for everyone!! This is followed by prize giving, a few raffles and a good natter. Do come along and enjoy this fabulous day!
