The annual picnic is the BIGGEST day on our club calendar! Much organisation goes into this fabulous day. The highlight is the Schwingen (Swiss wrestling) with adults and children participating (last year we had 32 taking part) with many other “Swiss” activities also enjoyed by attendees. Barbequed cervelas / bratwurst are sold, beverages and ice creams too! A fabulous Swiss tombola (raffle) is also organised with many great prizes. There are many free activities for the children – pony rides, face painting, bottle fishing and then there is also our small playground. The shot put trophies are up for grabs too! We have plenty of shade available by way of gazebos. And it wouldn’t be the picnic without love Swiss music … we’re so very lucky to have such a talented bunch of musicians!! We had a terrific crowd last year, so hope to have even more this year!! Do come along and enjoy this great social day.
Kegeln is fun … do join this group!
The Annual General Meeting of the Taranaki Swiss Social Club incorporated will be held at 7.30pm. We look forward to your attendance to hear what happened in the past year, and what there is to look forward to in the coming year. Please come along and have your say and contribute to discussions. Please bring a plate for supper.

Kegeln from 7.30pm. Join this fun-loving group who enjoy the 9-pin bowling, a chat, laughter and a good supper. See you there!!
The Society and Championship Shoots will be contested today, and Joe looks forward to a good muster!! There is a separate section for juniors in the Society Competition with the top 20% winning a certificate and prize. Coaching is available for free from this dedicated group of shooters. It would be great to have a few more participants to make the competition even better; remember most of the smallbore shoots are on a handicap system, so everyone has a chance to win the trophies and cups. See you there!!
Jassen starts again for the coming season; seven afternoons with the best five scores counting towards the coveted cup. Come along to make this an even better competition. Please bring a plate for afternoon tea and then enjoy a few more social games of cards. We look forward to seeing you!!
