We will play bowling, shotput, cards (we will have a Jass table for beginners).

Join us for a walk in the beautiful Catchpool Valley at Rimutaka Forest Park.
The club walk will take place at Catchpool on Saturday 16 January.
There are a number of walks suitable for different ability levels. Let’s meet
at the upper carpark at 2pm and we can decide which walk we would like
to do. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash and on the tracks at
all times as Catchpool is a kiwi area. For those feeling less energetic
(that’s probably most of the kids!), they can hang out by the river for some
aquatic fun.
The camp ground has basic facilities which includes toilets, a shower, tables and benches and
barbecues for cooking. Please note there is no power and very limited cell phone reception. You
must take all your rubbish away with you. Camping fees are $10 per adult and $5 for children
aged 5-17. Children 4 and under are free. Fees can be paid by cash or cheque at the registration
kiosk inside the campground. We will camp by the kitchen block; look out for the Swiss flag.
Please bring your own snacks and meat to barbecue and a salad to share for dinner.
We will meet at the Club House at 12pm for those who want to leave food in the fridge for the
barbecue on the Sunday. After packing the tents on the Sunday morning, we will head to the
Club House for breakfast.
Please let Nat know if you are interested in joining us either the walk or camping. To get to
Catchpool, follow the Coast Road south of Wainuiomata for 10km and take the main entrance
into Rimutaka Forest Park. The top carpark is 2.5km up the road.
