Nominated Point and Round Robin competition
On Saturday the 17.11.2012 we met for the last shoot of the year. It is a fun competition and socializing is a very important part of it, best of all you can leave your wallet home.
We started with the Nominated Point competition were all shooters nominate their scores before the shooting started. The winner is the shooter that scores the closest to their nominated score.
After all shots were fired and all calculations were done it came apparent the Melissa Lanz and Terry Mason were in fact on a death heat as both had scored their nominated points. So another round was call for the two shooters, this time 5 shots were fired and then the shooter had to nominate their accumulated scores.
At the end Terry Mason was declared the winner.
After a short lunch it was time to pair the shooters for the Round Robin Competition. The second round is the Sudden Death. The losers out of that round had to go into the buds to mark the targets to wait the day and competition out……sorry lads!
Then it got down to business and some of us found that once you fire a bad shoot there is almost no chance to recover. With 6 shoots there is not a lot of time to gain previously lost points except your opposition gets nervous too.
At the end of the game Melissa Lanz got her revenge from the previous loss and outscored Terry Mason by 4 points. The little final was won by Henry Werffeli over Marcel Ruedi last year’s winner.
I would like to thank all the shooters whom found or made the time to come up to the range for a fun day out. Congratulation to all the winners and the one’s that came close.
